    Resolution criteria

The window opens on September 7, 2026. Resolve Yes if, on or after September 7 and by October 2, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, President Lee Jae-myung formally appoints Kim Ji-yong as the first chief of the Central Investigative Office, as established by an official government record or a consensus of independent credible reporting. A nomination, recommendation, or confirmation hearing alone does not qualify. Resolve No if the appointment has not occurred by the deadline. Source: Yonhap News Agency (authoritative).
