Resolution criteria
The window opens on September 7, 2026. Resolve Yes if, during the upcoming Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in the Ramstein format and no later than September 30, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, one or more NATO member states publicly announce a new contribution specifically for Ukraine’s air defense. A qualifying contribution may be an air-defense system, interceptor missiles, air-defense funding earmarked for procurement, or a formal transfer commitment. Repeating an earlier commitment, discussing needs without making a new commitment, or announcing unrelated military aid does not qualify. Resolve based on official public statements or readouts, or a consensus of independent credible reporting. Resolve No if the meeting concludes without such an announcement or no qualifying meeting and announcement occur by the deadline. Source: Government of Ukraine (authoritative).
